A lyrical outcry of a person who’s about to lose his love over things out of his control; and ruminating all they had and could have.
‘Afeenolove’ is the new release and one of the most anticipated songs by Dads in the Park. With its own animated music video created by the vocalist Ishmam Salim Chowdhury and Maheyan Hasan--who also played bass for the track--it features Ishmam's vocals and Tajwar Ul Islam on guitars. The track is Dads’ mellower dig at alternative rock, with lyrics that tell the story of a longing partner singing about the remains of their battered relationship.
Being the flow-iest track by the band so far, the looping melody and slower drums will let the lyrics really get the focus when you listen. The music that makes you think catches a break about midway into the song, where Tajwar gives us a hearty guitar solo; and if the song hasn’t already succeeded in making you feel as if you’re the guy singing about his fading love, it will now with this composition. Gradually, the track is brought to a close by a high melody by Tajwar again, and Ishmam’s fading vocals singing the last lyric of the powerless lover: Temporary killed the permanent.
Despite that line, this song will definitely be my permanent favorite by Dads In The Park for a long time to come.
